Cumbria is home to the Lake District National Park, a designated UNESCO world heritage site and the focus of the itinerary. The area combines some of the most beautiful scenery in Britain with a rich food culture. Many of the famous Cumbrian food and drink products are still made in traditional ways, such as: Morecombe Bay shrimp, Cumberland sausage, salt marsh lamb, sticky toffee pudding, Kendal mint cake, Grasmere gingerbread, damsons, rum butter.
